SDVOSBService-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business
U.S. federal small-business designation administered by the Department of Veterans Affairs. Kaizen Approach is SDVOSB-certified.
GovConGovernment contracting
Shorthand for the federal-government contracting market — primes, subs, vehicles, and task orders.
SOWStatement of work
The contract document that defines the scope, deliverables, and labor categories for an engagement.
RFQRequest for quote
A prime's solicitation asking for staffing or pricing against a defined set of labor categories.
LCATLabor category
A defined role on a contract (e.g. Cyber Analyst III) with its clearance, experience, and rate band.
RTRRight-to-represent letter
Candidate's signed authorization for a sub to submit them to a specific prime / opportunity.
ATSApplicant tracking system
Traditional recruiting database that stores candidates, jobs, and pipeline status.
CRMCustomer relationship management
System for tracking customer accounts and outreach. In recruiting, often paired with the ATS.
APIApplication programming interface
Programmatic contract used by the platform's connectors and external integrations.
KPIKey performance indicator
Headline operating metric — Kaizen reports acceptance rate, placement rate, time-to-first-sub, and source ROI.
ROIReturn on investment
Revenue produced relative to the cost spent — surfaced per source, per recruiter, and per contract.
CPACost per accepted resume
Modeled sourcing cost ÷ resumes accepted by the prime. Used in the placement-economics ledger.
CPPCost per placement
Modeled sourcing cost ÷ placements landed. Used in the placement-economics ledger.
GPGross profit
Annual billing minus loaded cost on a labor-rate worksheet. Surfaced per LCAT and per contract.
